Pork Liver & Spinach Nourishing Soup Recipe (Serves 3–4)

Ingredients (Serves 3–4)

  • 250 g pork liver, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups fresh spinach (washed and trimmed)
  • 8–10 red dates (pitted)
  • 12–18 dried goji berries
  • 6–8 slices fresh ginger
  • 6 cups water
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions

1. Prepare the pork liver
Rinse the sliced pork liver under cold water. For a cleaner taste, briefly blanch in boiling water for about 30 seconds, then drain and set aside.

2. Build the soup base
In a pot, add a small amount of oil and lightly sauté the ginger slices until fragrant. Add the pork liver and cook briefly until the surface changes color.

3. Simmer the broth
Pour in 6 cups of water and bring to a gentle boil. Add the red dates and goji berries, then reduce to a simmer. Let it cook for about 12–15 minutes to develop flavor.

4. Add the greens
Stir in the spinach and cook for another 3–5 minutes, depending on how soft you prefer the texture.

5. Season and serve
Add salt to taste. Serve hot and enjoy immediately.
