Monk Fruit Herbal Drink Recipe for Lung Support (6–8 servings)
Ingredients
- 1 large dried Luo Han Guo (Monk Fruit)
- 2 liters filtered water
- Optional: 3–4 dried Red Dates (Hong Zao)
Instructions
- Rinse the Luo Han Guo under running water to remove any dust.
- Gently crack the shell using your palm or the back of a knife.
- Break the fruit (including the inner pulp) into large chunks.
- Add the pieces to a pot with 2 liters of water.
- Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer for 30–45 minutes, until the tea turns a rich dark amber color.
- Strain out the solids.
- Serve warm, or let cool and refrigerate for a refreshing chilled tea.
Notes
- Adding red dates gives a subtle natural sweetness and a more rounded flavor.
- This tea can be reheated or enjoyed cold throughout the day.
- Adjust simmering time for a stronger or lighter taste.
